Mid Nithsdale Red Squirrels was established in Autumn 2017 and is working in partnership with Saving Scotlands Red Squirrels (SSRS) to develop a local volunteer network to support the activities of the group.
Mid Nithsdale is situated in a PARC (Priority Area for Red Squirrel Conservation, as identified by SSRS). We are delighted that there have been several sightings of red squirrels recorded in the area and we are working hard towards improving the red squirrel populations and habitats in Mid Nithsdale.
